Rachel Mercier Wedding Invitation Suite

Using 18th century engravings of the bougainvillea that is everywhere at the San Ysidro Ranch where this wedding happened, combined with a palette inspired by the ubiquitous lavender, made this invitation very specific to Rachel's event.

I drew the tree motif based on the extremely rare Australian Pine that overshadows the garden, made even more unique by the fact its trunk divides into two from a single base. Really a touching metaphor for marriage.

The menus also served as place cards, keeping the cost of the invitation suite down. Printed on ultra luxurious Crane's Lettra (made from reclaimed cotton from clothing manufacturers) this invitation is both decadent and responsible.
